About Terrie

Hello, I am Terrie Holgerson, I am here to ask you to vote for a different type of councilor to represent the ward of Papastew. How am I different? I am not a career politician. I am a mother and now a grandmother. I am self-employed and know how difficult it is to operate a small business in this City. I am keenly aware of the many things that destroy the quality of life in the City and I have immersed myself in learning as much as possible over the last 3½ years to find answers to our long history of dissatisfaction.

My family and I have lived in Hazelden for over 20 years, our kids attended Hazelden School and then Richie Jr. high school, I am a small business owner as well as a third-party contract marketing specialist. I have been a successful manager in retail settings. My farming background has made me an entrepreneur, a problem solver, and not afraid to work hard. Over the past several years I have been working on my formal education, as time would allow, pursuing several courses at Athabasca University, and reading as much as possible.
